The United States has made considerable progress to ensure that most children have health insurance, and child uninsured rates reached a historic low in 2016. However, since the start of the Trump Administration, more than 726,000 children have become uninsured for a total of 4.4 million. On top of that, there’s a public health emergency and the Affordable Care Act sits in the middle of hot political debate as the Supreme Court threatens to strike it down.
